From Brian's friend Susanne Mayer:
To all who knew Brian allot, a little, or just heard me speak of him (he made my Halloween posters for my party) , I
would like to share a bit of information about one of my best friend’s for over 30 years of my life. I was totally
devastated to hear of his passing today. Words can not describe how I feel.
Brian was like a brother to me. He was an uncle to Sara. As a child he would do puppet shows for her and her
friends. He had a heart of gold and a humorous attitude like NO other. He was a talented artist and cartoonist as
well as photographer, as you can see below. If you Google “Brian Chalmers” you will see many things this person
accomplished in his life…..He worked at the Scene Magazine, WMMS Radio and Ch 3 TV, enjoyed photo work that
would knock your socks off and was in Rolling Stone Magazine. I helped him as a photo stylist/assistant at a gig he
had as a photographer. His life history of creating art, pictures and cartoons was impeccable. I told him he should
sell his work or create cards! He also assisted with the Movie, Almost Famous. With all the glory he has been
around, he was the most down to earth wonderful soul I have ever met. He was “there” for me no matter what,
good or bad, happy or sad…..a true friend.
As some know, just a year ago, Chevonne, a mutual friend of Brian’s and I had gotten beaten in a park in Parma. I
introduced Brian to Chevonne. We both shared sorrow in the devastating death from her murder.
I am asking all of you to take a moment of your lives and please say a prayer for one of the best individuals I have
ever met in my life. God be with you Brian and bless you my friend. I will hold your friendship in my heart forever,
With all my Love, Susanne
Please take 1 moment to do this for a great man and a great friend. I have lost a few very close wonderful people
in my life. I would like you to know that I appreciate your friendship. This moment reminds us all how we should
appreciate each other and TAKE THE TIME to share and let others know…or it will be too late. God Bless you, all
my friends and Thank you.

"He has colored our souls with the beauty of his
kindness. The art of his friendship will live on forever."
